Musical entries

Some new talent in the music scene. "1234" by Feist.

Wiki entry: Leslie Feist (born February 13, 1976 in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada) is a Juno Award-winning and Grammy-nominated Canadian singer-songwriter. She performs as a solo artist under the name Feist and as a member of the indie rock supergroup Broken Social Scene. At the 2008 Juno Awards on April 6, 2008 in Calgary, Alberta, she was the top winner with five awards, including Songwriter, Artist, Pop Album, Album and Single of the Year.

"Strangers" by Van She.

Wiki entry: Van She is a band from Sydney, Australia. Their label, Modular Recordings, describes Van She as a "new band from Sydney fresh on ideas, fresher than Flavor Flav, fresh like coriander, fresher than the Fresh Prince." Despite these claims, the band began with a sound very much rooted in the 80s, heavy on synthesizer, although later material reflects a more textured sound.

It began in 2005 when band members Nick Routledge, Matt Van Schie, Michael Di Francesco, and Tomek Archer all responded to an advertisement in Sydney’s Drum Media Magazine and arrived at an audition for a rock band with influences including Sepultura, Entombed, Black Skull and Phil Collins. This chance meeting led to the creation of Van She. In 2005 Van She released their self-titled debut EP.
