Prioritising 2008

Am spending this Sunday morning 'filing' blog entries. Came across a posting that reminded me that I made a resolution in Dec 2006: "Spend more time with people who matter". Timely reminder to renew that resolution for 2008 too.

New toy for the new year

Happy new year! This year I actually made some kind of NY resolution, and got chum Wabi to join me in making it. It's supposed to help to have one person keeping tab on the other, but I have this feeling that she's not taking our project as seriously as she does about, say, getting hold of a recipe for good salad sauce....

Anyway I bought a new camcorder on impulse on Jan 1st afternoon. A Sony DCR-DVD708E (pic from Sony). It's not the latest model, but still, I feel as if I've caught up a little with the times. Took it out for a 'test run' this afternoon, went to a golf range at 60 Jalan Penjara (off Margaret Drive, near Tiong Bahru). My first visit to a golf range, so it was a nice way to kick off the year. Maybe trying out more new things should be a resolution for this year too.

I wanted to post a rather fun though somewhat jerky video snapshot of our afternoon, video-ed by SS, but he says I should ask Et who is in the video, for his consent first. So can't upload just yet, sigh.
